Two comic book pioneers, artists, legends, both of whom died this month. Joe Simon (l.) died on 12/15 and Jerry Robinson died 12/7. Simon is best known for his work with partner Jack Kirby, creating a stack of Golden Age heroes, most notably Captain America. Robinson is best known for having created the Joker. Both men contributed to the creation or development of countless characters, due to their talent and the creative ferment in the comic book studio scene of the ’40s.

AKB48’s “Heavy Rotation” in Japan’s Just Dance Wii. Is it just me, or does Just Dance with J-pop look crazy fun? Even played in a tiny room, while wearing a mask?
Okay, so now that you’ve seen that video of Just Dance Wii, the Japanese version of the game, watch this, which I can’t embed: the Super Mario Bros. theme. Keep watching through the menus and stuff, and you’ll be rewarded with an FMV of a person dancing in a big Mario costume. “Lucky Maaaario!”
I don’t know if it’s possible to ignore something so momentously weird as an Ubisoft-produced FMV Mario dancing game. I don’t know if it’s responsible to ignore that.

Batman In the Mass Effect Universe? Yes, Please.
It’s by Australian video game artist Adam Fisher, who as part of a Comic Con challenge and as a big Mass Effect fan, imagined how the Dark Knight would look with “a Mass Effect vibe”.
